Our approach

GoldPriceNow.info is an informational precious-metals website. We limit data collection, do not sell personal information and do not enable Google advertising signals in our analytics configuration.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics” in our consent notice. It may then measure page views, approximate location, browser and device information, scrolling and outbound-link interactions. We use this information to understand which market tools and educational sections are useful. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses or payment information to Google Analytics.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page views and website performance, including Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first analytics that does not collect or use visitors' personal data. Its beacon does not set analytics cookies and operates separately from the optional Google Analytics service described above.

Your analytics choice

Your consent choice is stored in your browser under “goldpricenow-analytics-consent”. If you decline, the Google Analytics script is not loaded. You can reset the choice using “Cookie preferences” in the website footer or by clearing this site's stored browser data.

Language and currency preferences

The selected interface language and display currency are saved in your browser so the site can remember them on your next visit. On a first visit, the hosting network's country code may be used to suggest an initial language and currency. GoldPriceNow does not request precise location for this feature. Your saved preferences stay on the device and can be removed by clearing this site's stored browser data.

Private metals vault

The Private Gold & Silver Vault does not require a name, email address or account. Inventory details are encrypted in your browser before they are stored. The private access key stays in the link or QR code saved by you and is not sent to our database, so GoldPriceNow cannot read the contents of an encrypted vault.

We store the encrypted inventory, a one-way hash of the separate management code, the number of entries and operational timestamps needed to retrieve, update and delete the vault. Private vault pages disable our analytics beacons and are marked for exclusion from search engines. Anyone who receives the complete private link can view the decrypted inventory, so protect it like a password. The separate management code is required to edit or permanently delete the stored vault.

Third-party market tools

The site embeds charts, news and calendar tools supplied by TradingView and requests market reference data from external providers. Those services operate under their own privacy practices. Review the TradingView Privacy Policy for its embedded services.

Forms and external links

Partnership and advertising enquiries contain the contact and business details you choose to provide. They are transmitted through a private Google Form owned by the site owner so the enquiry can be reviewed and answered; they are not displayed publicly. External websites linked from GoldPriceNow.info control their own data practices and content.

If you join the GoldPriceNow market briefing, the email address you submit is sent through the same private form relay and stored for newsletter administration. It is not displayed publicly or sold. Every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe.

Email price alerts

When you create a price alert, GoldPriceNow stores the email address, selected metal, target price, condition, status and relevant timestamps in a private Google Sheet owned by the site operator. Google Apps Script checks the selected price condition and uses Google's Mail service to send the requested transactional alert. Alert details are not displayed publicly and are not added to a marketing mailing list.

An alert remains active until its condition is met and is then marked as triggered to prevent duplicate delivery. To request deletion of an alert or its delivery record, use the secure enquiry form and provide the email address used for the alert.

Private encrypted vault

The private vault encrypts inventory details in your browser before they are stored in Cloudflare D1. The decryption key remains in the private access link and is not sent with the stored vault record.

GoldPriceNow stores an opaque vault identifier, encrypted inventory data and operational timestamps. Do not enter serial numbers, physical storage locations, account credentials or similar security-sensitive information. If the private link and recovery pack are both lost, GoldPriceNow cannot reconstruct the key.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Data retention

• Portfolio records: Until you delete them or request account deletion
• Price alerts: 12 months after triggering, then deleted
• Analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics default)
• Cloudflare Web Analytics: Dashboard reporting for the previous six months
• Contact form submissions: 24 months for record-keeping
• Newsletter subscriptions: Until you unsubscribe
• Currency and language preferences: Until browser data is cleared
• Private vaults: Until the owner deletes the vault or the service publishes a future inactivity-retention policy

International transfers

Some data is processed in the United States by Google and other service providers. We ensure lawful transfer through Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Children's privacy

GoldPriceNow.info is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have, contact us for immediate deletion.

Security

We use HTTPS encryption, account-scoped portfolio access, access-controlled Google and Cloudflare services, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

RSS and public market data

The news RSS feed does not require an account or email subscription. Prediction-market cards request public event data from Polymarket; opening a market link takes you to Polymarket under its own privacy practices.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated as the website adds new features or data services. The latest revision date will always appear on this page.
